Courtney Cleans up New Zealand TT Championships

Hey Hey
Wow of not long arrived home from the North Island.I went up to race in the N.Z TT champs near Kuratau in the weekend just past. When i arrived at the track for a look friday afternoon it looked really fast even faster than last year. The track was layed out good and i was excited about racing the next day.Saturday morning soon arrived, practise was awesome the 13-16 85s were in with the junior 125/250 class so that was a little different but alot of fun.Moto one was okay i got out into the lead on lap one and stayed there until the checked flag fell.Moto two was a little different as i layed it over in the first turn. With the races only beind 4 or 5 laps and the track being so fast it was goin to be hard to get to the front. On my lap last I had worked my way into thrid, quick past on second and i was right behind first. With a few corners to go i managed to get by Hadleigh to take the lead and to win the moto.Moto three and the final race for the day before we started back on Sunday didnt go to plan.I had a good start and pulled away to have a pretty big lead until on the last lap i collided with a back rider,I went over the bars and cartwheeled about 10 metre before my YZ 85 came down and landed on me,Mainly my head.Luckly I had my Arai helmet on it helped me heaps.I got badly winded but mangered to cross the line in 4th.I was a little disapointed. The track was getting rougher as the races got on and i was just enjoying it even more. The first race on Sunday was my best race of the weekend.I holeshot and pulled out a big gap on about lap three,I then looked for some fast smooth lines for moto five which was going to be rougher.Moto five a had a goodish start and passed a few riders to take the lead and win the race.I finished first overall in the N.z TTs which i was happy with.My firend Sam Cuthbertson finshed up thrid in the 8-12 85s which was sick.Well done Sam.
Im home at the moment training and riding to try get faster!
Cya at the track soon.
